WATCH: Lane Kiffin Hits Home Run Off Pete Golding

Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin has been touted for his offensive genius, but is he getting enough respect as a power hitter?

Mighty Lane was at bat and, unlike Casey, Kiffin didn't strike out. He went yard.

During what was dubbed a "staff meeting," Kiffin was facing defensive-coordinator-turned-pitcher Pete Golding. Golding got the best of Kiffin on the first pitch, as the Rebels' head coach swung through strike 1, but that's why they give you three.

On the second pitch of Kiffin's at-bat, he hit a towering home run to left field, which was just towards the end zone on the Ole Miss Rebels' practice field. Kiffin pimped the dinger as well, taking approximately four seconds to admire the moonshot while walking up the imaginary first base line.

Kiffin took his victory lap on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, while also taking a dig at a Southeastern Conference rival.

"Welcome to Ole Miss football," Kiffin said while tagging Golding's account. "#NotABamaStaffMeeting."

Kiffin also used the video as a metaphor to celebrate the commitment of 2024 four-star wide receiver Noreel White.

"We don't miss the second time," Kiffin wrote, which can be assumed is about White's prior commitment to Arkansas. "#ComeToTheSip great start to the day."

So while Golding's earned run average is now infinite — like the bragging rights Kiffin now has forever over the Rebels defensive coordinator — the social media team now has a video they can use to indicate an Ole Miss commitment.

The only thing wrong with Kiffin's homer: no bat flip.
