Ole Miss Rebels Hire NFL Veteran to Football Staff

The Ole Miss Rebels hired NFL veteran Mike Williams to a high-ranking personnel role on Tuesday, reports stated.

The Ole Miss Rebels added a new member to their football staff on Tuesday, placing NFL veteran Mike Williams in a "high-ranking" personnel role, according to reports from Matt Zenitz of 247.

According to Ole Miss' website, Williams now holds the title of "Senior Director of Player Personnel." He brings about 20 years of NFL personnel experience to Oxford, having previously served as the professional personnel director for the San Francisco 49ers and vice president of player personnel for the Los Angeles Rams.

Williams is just the latest addition to an Ole Miss staff that has gained multiple new faces this offseason. The Rebels recently hired former SMU general manager Alex Brown, and they have also secured Texas Longhorns general manager Billy Glasscock.

That's not to mention changes on the coaching staff. Ole Miss recently brought in a new secondary coach in Bryan Brown, a new wideouts coach in George McDonald, and a new tight ends coach in Joe Cox, all of whom will look to help Lane Kiffin and the Rebels reach their first-ever College Football Playoff berth in 2024.
