In-State Linebacker Fred Clark Reveals College Commitment

The 2024 linebacker from Winona, Miss., has officially announced a college destination.

Ole Miss lost a linebacker commitment on Tuesday morning, but it gained a new face in that same room on the afternoon.

Fred Clark, a class of 2024 linebacker out of Winona (Miss.) Secondary School, announced his college commitment on Tuesday, joining the class for the Ole Miss Rebels.

Clark projects as a linebacker at the next level, and he has received offers from the Mississippi State Bulldogs, Southern Miss Golden Eagles, Memphis Tigers, Arkansas State Red Wolves among others. Ultimately, however, he decided that Ole Miss was the fit for him on Tuesday.

His Winona Tigers compete in the 3A level of the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA), and Clark helped lead his team to a 10-2 record a season ago, falling to the Amory Panthers in the postseason.

According to On3, Clark is currently registered as a three-star player in the 2024 class.

As of now, Lane Kiffin has two commits in next year's recruiting cycle after the decommitment from linebacker Jordan Lockhart on Tuesday. The other commit for the Rebels in the 2024 class is Demond Williams Jr. out of Basha (Chandler, Ariz.).
