The Oregon Ducks are fresh off of an invigorating beat down over the Nevada Wolfpack last week, putting up 77 points in their home-opener at Autzen. In the same vein, the Montana Grizzlies' recent 61-17 blowout over Northern Alabama this past Saturday has them riding high coming into Eugene.

  • The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS and 0-5 SU in their past five weeks. In 2018, they went 6-5 SU in the FCS.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Oregon's last 5 games, as well as 4 of Oregon's last 5 games played in week 3.
  • The Ducks are 4-1 SU in their final non-conference game of the season before Pac-12 play begins. Oregon faces Stanford on September 21.

Not a chance, keep it moving.

Against the Spread

The Oregon Ducks (-36, -110) are riding high after tieing the school record for most points scored in Autzen Stadium, and they'll be looking to iron out some last details against an FCS school before they start conference play against Stanford. The Grizzlies (+36, -110) had an impressive win against Northern Alabama last week, in which they put up 61 points in a blowout. Nonetheless, Oregon will have a cakewalk on Saturday, and if the spread was no match for Nevada, it will be no match for Montana either. Once again, lay the points and collect the cash.

Over/Under

The UNDER (65, -110) is where my money is at this week. Oregon will likely blow out the Grizzlies here, but I don't expect the score to get too far out of hand, with the Ducks hoping to get their starters out of the game and well-rested for Stanford. Meanwhile, the Oregon defense has proved stout so far, even late in the game. It's unlikely that Montana will reach double-digits scoring this week.

If it matters, the Ducks are also getting called out for running up the score against Nevada, so they could potentially lay off the gas against an FCS school. All of this combined makes me think the smart play is the under here.
