2023 OL Colin Van Rooy Chooses Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have continued to capitalize during the month of June. Since the first of the month, they've built the bulk of their 2023 recruiting class by landing 10 commitments. It got even larger on Sunday, when Pat Narduzzi announced that Pitt had gotten verbals from three more players.
Three-star offensive lineman Colin Van Rooy announced his commitment to the Panthers Sunday afternoon. He was the first of the three to make his decision public.
At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, Van Rooy primarily played tackle. He had offers from Lehigh, Eastern Michigan, Akron, Ball State in addition to one Panthers.
Pitt's 2023 class, led by four-star quarterback commit Kenny Minchey, is now 12 deep and will likely move up from its spot at 29th in 247Sports' national rankings. Announcements for the remaining two mystery commits are still to come.
