Pitt Football Players, Coaches Remember Tony Siragusa
PITTSBURGH -- The greater Pitt Panthers football community is mourning after former defensive tackle Tony Siragusa passed away at the age of 55. A dominant player, beloved during his career on the field and along the sidelines as a reporter, Siragusa touched so many during his life, that much was clear in the outpouring of remembrances offered by Pitt football players, staff and alumni.
Current Pitt defensive end John Morgan was one of the first to express his sorrow about Siragusa's passing and former Panther linebacker followed in kind. Galambos and head coach Pat Narduzzi recalled Siragusa's famed pregame speeches.
Defensive line coach Charlie Partridge and assistant director of player personnel Karlo Zovko touched on his unending love for his alma mater.
Pitt football alumni Louis Riddick, Dan Marino and Charles Spencer also posted remembrances on Twitter.
