Kenny Pickett Talks Dan Marino Comparisons

The Pitt QB has an opportunity to be drafted even higher than the Hall of Famer.

PITTSBURGH -- It's been a long time since the Pitt Panthers had the top quarterback in the NFL Draft, but despite Kenny Pickett becoming a Panthers legend, he's not ready to say he's up there with the other great.

During Pitt's Pro Day, Pickett addressed getting back on the field and focusing on throwing with his teammates. He even laughed off a few questions about his hand size.

But at one point he was asked about comparisons to Dan Marino.

"I don't know if I'm Dan Marino," Pickett said. "He's a hell of a guy to follow. He's a guy I was chasing the whole time I was here at Pitt. He's a great role model to have. ... It's unbelievable to be in the same sentence as him. I'll just try to work as hard as I can to have a successful career like he had."

Pickett didn't test at Pitt's Pro Day but threw in front of PLENTY of NFL coaches, general managers and scouts.

As of now, Pickett could be the first quarterback taken off the board. With lots of free agency moves and trades happening, what team has their eye on the Pitt QB is still up for interpretation.

That being said, he should be drafted even higher than the Hall of Famer he's chasing.
