Pitt Partners With Mark Cuban-Backed NIL Store

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are expanding the options for fans who want to support the athletic department's NIL initiatives and releasing a line of products that will include every athlete on the roster of a team at the university.
Pitt athletics announced this week that they had partnered with Pittsburgh native and billionaire businessman Mark Cuban, who also began his undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh, and Campus Ink, an NIL store, to sell player-specific merch for every athlete across 14 different varsity sports.
"The NIL Store," which is powered by Campus Ink, will sell t-shirts, jerseys and sweatshirts with team logos and branding on them in addition to the names and numbers of Pitt athletes. Each item sold will earn the corresponding athlete anywhere from six to 12 dollars each, according to a release from Pitt athletics.
Prices for each item are consistent across sport and athlete. For example, the cheapest item - a blue t-shirt that says "Pitt VOLLEYBALL" across the front and sports star freshman Olivia Babcock's name and No. 5 across the back - goes for $39.99, same if it had "Pitt FOOTBALL" on the front and a replica of quarterback Nate Yarnell's No. 19 jersey across the back. A blue hooded sweatshirt, the most expensive category of apparel available, with a Pitt basketball logo on the front and Blake Hinson's name and No. 2 on the back will set you back 64.99.
"The Campus Ink NIL Store website featuring Pitt student-athletes will continuously be onboarding new athletes and developing exclusive apparel drops for individual athletes to capitalize on all the hottest moments throughout the season," The release says. "All merchandise on the NIL Store is officially licensed by the University of Pittsburgh."
This is not the only way Pitt fans can support NIL initiatives from the school's athletic department. ShopPittPanthers, Rally House and Athletes Thread also feature Pitt branded NIL gear.
