In-State Freshman RB Schedules Visit to Pitt

PITTSBURGH -- This week, the Pitt Panthers will host one of the top freshman prospects in the state this week for a visit.
D'Antae Scheffey, a 2026 running back from State College, Pennsylvania, will be in Pittsburgh to meet with running backs coach Andre Powell, offensive line coach Dave Borbley and the rest of the coaching staff, he announced on Twitter. Pitt extended an offer bac in January and Scheffey took a visit in March.

Because he's so young, Scheffey has not yet received a ranking from any of the major recruiting services but Power 5 programs are still taking notice after he rushed for 1,725 yards and 22 touchdowns as a freshman at State College High School. He added 167 receiving yards and two more touchdowns as well.
Pitt, Cincinnati, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Akron, Toledo, Kent State, UConn, Rutgers and Temple have all offered already and he's visited Oklahoma and Texas A&M in addition to seeing the Bearcats, Hokies, Scarlet Knights and Orange in person.
