Two other Pitt commits - defensive lineman Francis Brewu and running back Julez Goff - will also be in town at the same time.
Whittington, who is always active trying to help the coaching staff recruit other top prospects, will likely serve as an extension of the Panthers this weekend. He was the first player to commit to Pitt's class of 2024 and hasn't wavered since, so with his commitment locked down he will do some up close and personal recruiting with the many talented prospects set to be in Pittsburgh this weekend.
A four-star prospect according to Rivals, Whittington is ranked as high as the No. 12 player in Pennsylvania and the No. 14 defensive lineman in the class of 2024.
