PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers' strong spring of recruiting is continuing on the right path as they offered and quickly moved up the list for 2024 defensive lineman Emmett Laws.

Laws, a three-star prospect from Elkton, Maryland, put the Panthers in his top five alongside Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Maryland.

Laws is a consensus three-star prospect and the No. 19 player at his position in this class, per Rivals. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 61 interior lineman of this cycle. Rivals also has Laws as the No. 16 player in the state of Maryland, while 247 has him at No. 22.

Laws narrowed a list of nine total offers to these five. In addition to the five finalists, he held offers from Toledo, Boston College, Akron and Coastal Carolina. The 6'2, 265-pound prospect visited Pitt two weeks ago and picked up his offer then before including the Panthers in his list of finalists.
