Schmoranzer took official visits to each school in his final four this month and announced that he would commit on June 30. He has a relationship with fellow 2024 Pitt offensive line target Ryan Howerton, who said the two would be a "package deal". Howerton, a four-star prospect, was also visiting the Panthers this weekend.
The 6'4 and 280-pound prospect is rated as a three-star pso by both 247Sports and Rivals. He is ranked as high as the No. 15 player in Virginia (Rivals) and the No. 44 offensive tackle in the class of 2024.
He cut an offer sheet that included Virginia, Georgia Tech, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Westigerna and Old Dominion down to those four schools.
