Four-Star S Reggie Powers Lists Pitt in Top Five

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers got some good news on the recruiting trail as the top safety in Ohio included them in a list of his top five schools as he nears a final decision.
Reggie Powers, a 6'1 and 195-pound safety from Dayton, Ohio by way of Centerville High School, included Pitt alongside Ohio State, Cincinnati, Northwestern and Michigan State in his top five this week, according to a report from On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Powers is ranked as high as the No. 12 player in Ohio and the No. 34 safety in the class by On3, who is also the only recruiting service to rank him as a four-star. ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports all consider him a three-star prospect.
He cut a lengthy list of offers that included West Virginia, Louisville, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Virginia, UConn, Boston College and others. Notre Dame and Tennessee have expressed interest but not offered.
