A day after being upset 72-61 by Washington State, No. 8 Oregon received a big pick-me-up on Friday when Beecher (Flint, Michigan) point guard Jalen Terry picked the Ducks over Louisville and LSU via Twitter.

Terry was originally committed to Michigan State, but decommitted from the Spartans in October.

In Terry, the Ducks have secured a gritty floor general with the perfect blend of quickness and speed. Terry gets into the lane at-will and has the innate ability to typically make the high-percentage play.

His speed and anticipation make him a master a playing passing lanes and get out in transition where he tends to thrive.

This past summer, Terry averaged 17.4 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds a game for The Family (Mich.) on the Nike EYBL, the most grueling summer circuit in the country.

Terry is Ducks head coach Dana Altman’s first commit from the 2020 class.
