FINAL: Gamecock Baseball Improves To 4-0 With 12-2 Win Over Winthrop

The South Carolina Gamecocks got their runs started once again in the second inning of this game courtesy of Tyler Causey, who got the first run in via a double and didn't wait long before he added two more on the board for the gamecocks with a two-run home run. Talmadge LeCroy also added to South Carolina's Homerun total in the fifth inning and got his team-high seventh walk in just four games. Also, Blake Jackson and Dylan Brewer continue to add to the leadoff spot and back of the lineup, combining for a 5/7 day with 2 RBIs, run, walk, and hit by pitch.
As for the pitching staff, they have continued to struggle with the walks this season. They walked five batters as a staff and hit two more in the first six innings. It hasn't hurt this team as of yet, but it will be something to keep an eye out for in the future. However, Tyler Dean was a bright spot who came in aggressively in the seventh inning and got two strikeouts.
