South Carolina Baseball Lands Vanderbilt Transfer Parker Noland

South Carolina baseball has landed Parker Noland, a versatile infielder and multi-year veteran, via the transfer portal from Vanderbilt.

After their breakthrough year as a program that saw the Gamecocks win 42 games in 2023 and nearly make their way to Omaha, the team has refocused its efforts on rebuilding the roster back into College World Series shape. South Carolina has already been making moves in the transfer portal since the season ended and just made another big one.

The Gamecocks have landed transfer Parker Noland, an infielder from Vanderbilt. Noland appeared in 61 games this past season, tallying a .277 batting average with a .822 OPS and nine homers. The four-year collegiate veteran experienced highs in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and total bases in 2023.

In addition to his increased offensive production over the years, Noland is touted for his versatile infield defense, which has been a staple in Vanderbilt's defense for the past four years. Though he spent the first two years at Vanderbilt bouncing around the infield, he found a more consistent spot at first base over the past two years.

The Gamecocks continue adding high-impact players to their roster, setting the stage for a prolific 2024 season. With the young talent already on the roster and the fresh, talented faces being brought in through the transfer portal, South Carolina is ready to compete with the SEC's finest.
