How To Watch: South Carolina Vs. Winthrop

Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks barely scrapped by against Charleston Southern this past Saturday, having to make multiple plays in crunch time to avoid a disastrous loss being plastered on their résumé. Tonight, Carolina will have to be on their A-game if they wish to secure their 10th win of the season, as they the 8-4 Winthrop Eagles.

The Eagles have leaned on their efficient shooting on the offensive end in their strong start to the season, shooting 46.6 percent from the floor overall and 36.3 percent from behind the three-point line. Winthrop also doesn't have to rely on one individual to power the team scoring-wise, as five players average 9.9 or more points per game. Like the Gamecocks, the Eagles will imploy more of a small-ball lineup and therefore sacrifice their ability to rebound the basketball in the process, although they do have a 6'10 center in Alex Timmerman who snags 5.9 rebounds per game in 20.9 minutes on average.
