USC tight end Kyle Markway announced Tuesday night that he is entering the 2020 NFL Draft.

Markway lost two years due to injury and actually had the option of playing a sixth season with the Gamecocks, but opted not to.

The senior took to Twitter to make his announcement, thanking his coaching staff, teammates and fans for their support.

"Growing up, whenever I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up the answer was always a NFL football player,” the latter part of the post reads. “Through years of sacrifices and hard work, I have been blessed with an opportunity to pursue this dream. I have decided to forgo my last year of eligibility and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. I’m extremely excited to begin this new chapter in my life, but will always bleed Garnet and Black. FOREVER TO THEE!”

During his tenure at USC, Markway recorded 37 catches for 459 yards and three touchdowns in 39 games. He ended his career with a bang, tallying 31 catches for 349 yards and two touchdowns this past season.

The Gamecocks are left with very few options at tight end in terms of experience. Nick Muse has logged the most minutes. After Muse is Will Register, who hasn't played much in four years, and Traevon Kenion and KeShawn Toney, both of whom redshirted as freshmen this past year.

Eric Shaw is the lone 2020 commitment at the tight end position. The 6-foot-4, 210 pound 3-star prospect hails from Alabama and committed over the summer.
