BREAKING: South Carolina - Texas A&M Game To Take Place In Afternoon
The South Carolina Gamecocks haven't had much good fortune lately on the football, accumulating a 2-4 record on the season after their most recent debacle against the Florida Gators this past Saturday. Typically, when college football teams go on a skid, they begin to see fewer and fewer primetime evening slots on their schedule unless the storylines of the matchup are juicy enough to overcome the records of both teams.
Shane Beamer and his team dealt with this for their contest against Florida, playing at 3:30 PM ET, the same time they'll play the Missouri Tigers later this weekend. That'll remain the case when Gamecocks play the Aggies in week nine, as that matchup will take place at Noon eastern.
The Gamecocks got some long-awaited revenge against the Aggies in 2022, as until that meeting, Texas A&M had won all eight matchups between the two cross-divisional foes. South Carolina won 30-24 this past Fall in a game that saw timely plays/drives in all three phases win the day for the Gamecocks. We'll see if Carolina can make it two in a row two Saturdays from now before this annual matchup is potentially taken off the schedule in 2024.
