Jonathan Paylor Sets Official Visit Date
After receiving the news Wednesday that five-star DL Kamarion Franklin will be visiting Columbia in March, South Carolina has continued to accumulate visit dates from top players in the nation. Jonathan Paylor, the 11th-ranked ATH in the class of 2024, has set an official visit date with South Carolina.
Paylor, a native of Burlington, NC, set visit dates with two schools for June. Paylor will be visiting Clemson on June 2nd, then taking a trip to Columbia for a visit with South Carolina on June 23rd.
The multi-talented offensive weapon narrowed his recruiting to ten schools in November, though Paylor recently said that South Carolina was clearly leading his recruitment. Though he is expected to play primarily as a WR at the collegiate level, his rushing ability makes him a threat to defenses at all times.
Unsurprisingly, Paylor has become a popular target for Gamecocks fans and players alike. Multiple 2024 Gamecock commits have voiced their support for Paylor joining the Gamecocks, including WR Mazeo Bennett and QB Dante Reno.
