LOOK: South Carolina Commits Making Pitch To Jonathan Paylor
Head coach Shane Beamer and South Carolina have gotten off to a phenomenal start in the 2024 recruiting cycle. They have landed national-level prospects like Kam Pringle, Wendell Gregory, Michael Smith, Mazeo Bennett, and Dante Reno. With the 2024 class, the Gamecocks are looking to mainly build more well-rounded competitive depth rather than fill an abundance of glaring holes on the roster. Still, if there's one main area where the staff desperately needs to add more high school talent, it's the wide receiver position.
For this reason, Kam Pringle and Mazeo Bennett have put on their recruiting hats for the Gamecocks' coaching staff. One prospect they're both teaming up to communicate with is wide receiver Jonathan Paylor out of North Carolina, a high-caliber playmaker with offers spanning the eastern seaboard.
Pringle hasn't been shy to tell Paylor on Twitter where he believes the athletic specimen should take his talents.
While it seems the home-state NC State Wolfpack are the leaders for Paylor at this point, there remains quite a ways to go, and with South Carolina's surging momentum on the recruiting trail, there's no telling what other prospects could join the fold by the end of the process.
