South Carolina Offers Fast-Rising Defensive Lineman

After getting an early start to the recruitment of the 2024 class, South Carolina continues to chip away, this time offering a defensive lineman Deyvid Palepale from Pennsylvania.

Since his arrival with the team, Shane Beamer has made recruiting one of his top priorities. His excellence in recruiting is well-documented and is displayed by South Carolina's 2024 recruiting class which is a consensus top ten class. Instead of enjoying the fruits of their labor, the coaching staff is constantly working and might have just found another piece to add to the already impressive class.

Deyvid Palepale, South Carolina's latest offer, has been receiving some buzz in the recruiting world as of late. The 6'3 lineman has received offers from some of the nation's finest, including Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, USC, Notre Dame, and many more. Palepale has also received an offer from Penn State, the alma mater of his cousin Penei Sewell, former seventh overall pick in the NFL Draft and current O-lineman for the Detroit Lions.

Though Palepale weighs over 280 pounds as a high school junior, he still possesses a unique athletic skill set. He plays both sides of the ball, serving as one of his high school's offensive tackles when the offense is on the field. He also plays basketball and participates in the shot-put and discus portions for his track and field team. Though it is early in his recruiting cycle, landing an athletic lineman like Palepale would be a big addition for the Gamecocks.
