On Sunday, Stanford headed to Boulder, Colorado for their final road game of the regular season.

The Cardinal were in the game until the Buffaloes went on a 23-6 run that saw them go from losing by five to building a double-digit lead. Stanford would fight back behind a strong showing by Maxime Raynaud who had 26 points, but the combination of Trisan de Silva and KJ Simpson was too much to handle for the Cardinal. The Buffs duo combined for 49 points total, and drilled 10 threes along the way to a 81-71 victory.

The loss marks the sixth in a row for a Stanford team that continues to freefall as the Pac-12 Tournament approaches.

Stanford has now dropped eight of their last 10, and are firmly in 10th place in the conference. During their dry spell, they have been consistently outshot by their opponents from three, which is supposed to be their calling card. Colorado was 11-of-25 (40%) from three, while for the fifth game in a row, Stanford shot less than 30% from deep.

Stanford finishes their regular season on Thursday as they welcome Mark Madsen and Cal to town. In a game that can be quite the brutal ending to Stanford's season. The former Stanford star whom many fans wanted Stanford to hire as the head coach after last season, has turned around the Cal program that went 3-29 last season, and is now two games ahead of Stanford in Pac-12 play.

ESPN's matchup predictor gives Stanford a 69% chance to win, but this team has clearly been defeated by their recent stretch of games. A win wouldn't do much of anything aside from sending the seniors out on a high note.
