On Wednesday, it was reported by 247Sports that Stanford tight end Benjamin Yurosek would be entering his name into the transfer.

Yurosek is one of the top tight ends in the country, and was one of Stanford's best weapons over the past few seasons. His season was unfortunately cut short in 2023, as he played in just six games before going down with an injury in Stanford's win against Colorado. However, he was still named honorable mention by the Pac-12 following the season's end.

Yurosek was one of the few experienced players who opted to return for the 2023 season, following David Shaw's decision to step down as head coach. The expectation was that Yurosek would explode in Troy Taylor's offense due to past success tight ends have had, but due to Stanford's ineffectiveness in pass blocking, Yurosek and his fellow tight ends were needed to block more so than they were needed as pass catchers.

Yurosek had a career-low 16 catches for 239 yards this past season after having two seasons with over 40 catches and over 400 yards receiving. Coming out of high school, the Bakersfield product was ranked as a three-star, and was heavily recruited in the Pac-12, holding seven of his 11 offers from a Pac-12 program.

He ended up choosing Stanford over the likes of UCLA and Washington.

Yurosek will likely be one of, if not the top-ranked tight end in the portal.

It is worth noting that Yurosek is a graduate transfer.
