'A Dream Come True': Luke McCaffrey Hopeful To Team Up With Brother Christian In San Francisco

It is no secret that the McCaffrey family tree is full of athletes all over the place.

Former Stanford star Christian McCaffrey is currently the biggest name out of the bunch thanks to his stellar career in Palo Alto and historic run with the 49ers. His father Ed McCaffrey won three Super Bowls during his 13-year NFL career, while his mother Lisa excelled at soccer at Stanford. He also has three brothers in Max who played receiver at Duke and bounced around the NFL on practice squads, Dylan who played quarterback for Michigan and Northern Colorado, and Luke who played quarterback at Nebraska before transferring to Rice and switching to receiver.

Luke, who is the youngest of the McCaffrey clan is currently preparing for the 2024 NFL Draft, and was invited to participate in the Reese's Senior Bowl. While talking with the media, in Mobile he discussed how special it would be to team up with his older brother on the San Francisco 49ers.

An opportunity that may become a real possibility for Luke and Christian, as the Rice stand-out posted an impressive 71 catches for 992 yards and 13 scores.

McCaffrey is expected to go somewhere in the final three rounds, but could rise up draft boards with a strong showing in Mobile this week.

As for his older brother Christian, he is looking to win his first Super Bowl, while also making some history with their father. With a 49ers win, Christian and Ed would become just the second father-son duo to win a title with the same franchise.

Regardless of who wins the Super Bowl, a former Stanford player will get a ring as Justin Reid will be going up against McCaffrey as a key contributor of the Kansas City Chiefs.
