WATCH: Christian McCaffrey putting in major work this offseason

In this story:
Former Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey is one of the best running backs that college football has ever seen, and now he is in the midst of preparing for his second season with the San Francisco 49ers after six seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
He and the 49ers had their dream season cut short this past season when all four of their quarterbacks went down with injuries sometime during the season. The team easily looked like one of the best teams in the league even with Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy at quarterback. The final pick of last year's draft hurt his elbow in the NFC Championship game, which actually almost forced McCaffrey to suit up at quarterback.
Now that the season is over and all eyes are turning to the draft and next season, a video went viral of McCaffrey preparing for next season.

The star running back is looking to build off his best and most healthy season since 2019. McCaffrey finished the year with 1,139-yards rushing eight touchdowns, while also adding over 700-yards receiving and five touchdowns.
The only mystery about the 49ers is who will be playing quarterback, as they traded Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy is coming off the injury, and Trey Lance is also coming off a major injury.
