Richard Sherman's latest hot take has the Lakers trading Anthony Davis for Giannis Antetokounmpo

Richard Sherman has the perfect trade for the Lakers

Over the last week, those in the sports world who somehow weren't familiar with former Stanford and NFL star Richard Sherman have become quiet acquainted with him.

The future NFL Hall-of-Famer sparked a debate with two legendary receivers Michael Irvin and Keyshawn Johnson about corner being harder than receiver, and now he has come up with a trade that would totally change the landscape of the NBA.

On a recent episode of Undisputed, Sherman explained that it is time for the Los Angeles Lakers to make a huge splash.

The splash that they can make which would surely alter the NBA, revolves around Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The 2021 NBA Finals MVP is reportedly eyeing a move elsewhere, and despite the fact he is already been named to seven All-Star teams and five All-NBA teams, he is only 28-years old.

With the uncertainty surrounding his future in Milwaukee, Sherman suggested a trade that swaps Anthony Davis and Antetokounmpo.

The move would pair LeBron James and rising star Austin Reeves with Antetokounmpo who is one of the most dominant players in the sport. Spacing-wise it seems like a nightmare when you consider neither James nor Antetokounmpo are known for their shooting prowess, but it would allow for James to take a backseat like he has been trying to do with the injury-plagued Davis and make another title run.

Considering the Lakers just signed Davis to a contract extension this feels a tad far-fetched but the NBA is the one league where superstars control pretty much everything. If James wants Antetokounmpo and he wants to play in Los Angeles, it could very well happen somewhere down the line.
