On Friday, Tiger Woods issued an apology and explained he didn't mean to offend anyone during the first round of the Genesis Invitational on Thursday.

Following a drive that went 20 yards further than Justin Thomas', Woods was photographed slyly handing Thomas a tampon. He apologized on Friday expressing it was just supposed to be harmless fun between friends, and he didn't mean to offend anyone.

The 47-year old Woods, is playing in his first PGA Tour official event in nearly seven months. He notched a 3-over 74 in the second round, bringing his 36-hole total of one over, and was in danger of missing the cut in a tournament he hosts and has yet to win.
