2024 three-star DB Jamir Benjamin decommits from Stanford

Troy Taylor and his staff have been hitting the recruiting trail extremely hard in order to rebuild a program that was once frequently atop the Pac-12 and contending amongst the nation's best.
While they have made some progress early in the process, on Thursday their 2024 class suffered their first decommitment. Three-star defensive back Jamir Benjamin took to Twitter to announce that is re-opening his recruitment. Benjamin committed to Stanford when David Shaw was still the head coach, and now according to On3's prediction machine is expected to end up at Michigan.

According to 247Sports, Benjamin ranks as the No. 487 player in the country, No. 43 corner, and No. 11 player in the state of California.
He holds 27 offers from programs such as Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, and Pitt among others.
He also announced that he will announce his decision on Father's Day (June 18).
