Stanford is the lone school out West that Gibson is considering

One of the biggest intrigues when Stanford elected to hire Troy Taylor was to see the kind of recruits that gravitated to the program considering Taylor possesses one of the most dynamic offenses in the country.

The new Cardinal coach is shooting big to revitalize the program and is in the mix for some of the most highly touted recruits across the country, and that sentiment continues to prove to be true as Stanford was featured in four-star receiver BJ Gibson's top-13 schools. The Georgia native took to Twitter on Friday to announce his top-13, apart from all of the SEC powers and schools in Florida was Stanford.

Joining the Cardinal are programs such as LSU, Georgia, Florida State, and Tennessee among others. Aside from being a top-300 recruit in football, Gibson is also a top-100 baseball recruit that pitches and plays outfield. He was at one point committed to Tennessee but decommitted in January.

Football wise, he ranks as the No. 299 recruit in the country, the No. 38 athlete, and the No. 39 player in the state of Georgia.

Gibson was offered by Stanford in February, and while it is unclear if he holds a baseball offer from the Cardinal it would not come as a surprise to see him play both sports. Stanford is renowned for two-sport athletes with names like John Elway, John Lynch, Brock Jones, and most recently Caleb Hampton who will join the Cardinal in the fall, as notable names who played both baseball and football on The Farm.

Using the two-sport pitch has become a very successful one for Stanford, and should help their case in a recruitment against some of the top programs in the country.
