Bussey holds around 30 offers from programs such as Alabama, Colorado, Texas, and Oregon among others. This past season, he was named Texas District 11-2A-I Overall MVP as a junior, Mr. Texas Football by Dave Campbell's Texas Football, and was the Texas Sportswriters Association (TSWA) Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year.
All of his honors come as no surprise as he recorded nearly 2,200 passing yards for 26 touchdowns while also adding a staggering 2,600 rushing yards for 46 rushing touchdowns. On defense he recorded five interceptions, returning four of them for a touchdown.
At the college level, he is expected to play receiver or defensive back.

Aside from starring on the gridiron, Bussey is also an accomplished track athlete, and plays basketball.
