Stanford secures an official visit from two-way star Peyton Waters

In this story:
Stanford has a prime opportunity to make an impression on one of the most interesting recruits in the country.
Two-way star Peyton Waters, who can play both receiver or defensive back at the next level, is set to take an official visit to Stanford among a few other programs. The 6-foot-2 Van Nuys, California native and star of the Los Angeles City Section recently narrowed down the schools that he will be seeing for his official visits.
He will be heading to Palo Alto on June 2, which comes after he took a trip to Northwestern, and is also planning to see Utah and Washington.
As a receiver, Waters caught 60 balls for 1,077 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for another 491 yards and 11 more scores, while on the defensive side of the ball he played both corner and safety. He finished the season with 51 tackles, four interceptions, and added another touchdown on a punt return.
He discussed his relationship with Stanford in a recent interview with
247Sports and the role he believes they think he would have.
“Paul Williams is the coach who offered me and I’ve been talking to the WR coach, Tyler Osborne, a lot recently. I think they like me as an athlete too but it sounds like receiver could be where they see me right now.”
Waters plans to make a late summer decision after he takes his visits.
According to 247Sports, he ranks as the no. 387 player in the country, No. 36 athlete in the country, and No. 29 player in the state of California.
