Stanford secures commitment from 2024 defensive back Khari Reid

Reid marked the third commitment that the Cardinal landed on Monday

Following the conclusion of Stanford's official visit weekend this past weekend, multiple staffers took to social media to hint to the fan base that it was a success

According to a report by 247Sports, the Cardinal were able to secure commitments from nine recruits. Three of the recruits went public with their commitments as former Baylor commit Brandon Booker got the day started after he announced he backed off his pledge to the Bears and was committing to the Cardinal. Joining him in committing was three-star tight end Aiden Black, and three-star defensive back Khari Reid.

Both Black and Reid hail from Pennsylvania, with Reid hailing from Philadelphia. The Philly native took to Twitter shortly after Black did to announce his pledge to Stanford.

Reid's recruitment was picking up in a major way as he held offers from Ole Miss, Maryland, Penn State, and West Virginia.

He marks the first commitment in the secondary, for safeties coach Bob Gregory and cornerbacks coach Paul Williams. Reid's has had a ton of success at the high school level, as Reid has helped lead Neumann Goretti to 24 combined wins.

The new coaching staff is catching fire on the recruiting trail, and it will be interesting to see who is next.
