Troy Taylor's offense is definitely going to appeal more to recruits across the country, and that has been made evident in the past couple of days as we dive into the happenings on the trail.

The Cardinal secured an official visit from four-star wide out Kwazi Gilmer, and also nabbed another from rising three-star Ricky Johnson. In a recent interview with On3, Johnson dove into the programs that he is hearing the most from and as of now it is between Georgia Tech and Stanford.

“I looked it up, Stanford is like the fourth best school in the world,” Johnson said. “If you go there, even if you don’t go to the NFL, it’s good for life to have that degree. That’s a great opportunity. I’d be the first in my family to go to Stanford.”

The Waern Robbins, Georgia native holds 29 offers mostly from Group of 5 programs, but has been picking up interest from more Power 5 programs such as LSU, Pitt, and Auburn. The On3 report has Johnson scheduled to visit Palo Alto June 9-11.

As it stands right now, Georgia Tech is viewed as a slight favorite over Stanford.

According to 247Sports, Johnson ranks as the No. 116 receiver in the country, and the No. 90 player in the state.

This past season he recorded 53 catches for 840 yards, while adding 11 touchdowns.
