Stanford's baseball team may be one of the best hitting teams in the country, and Sunday was another perfect example of the firepower that this team has.

Junior Alberto Rios who is listed as a catcher, but started Sunday's game in left field had a record breaking performance in No. 2 Stanford's 24-9 win over CSU Bakersfield. He finished the day 5-of-7 at the plate, knocking in a program high 11 runs which also tied the Pac-12 record for RBIs in a game.

His 11 RBIs came via a two-RBI single in the first, his first career home run, a three-run shot in the second, another RBI-single in the fourth, two more runs following a single in the seventh, and finished the day with a three-run homer in the eighth inning.

Rios wasn't the lone Cardinal with a hot bat, as Freshman star catcher Malcolm Moore went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, and senior shortstop Owen Cobb smacked his second career home run adding a two-run shot.

Following the conclusion of the CSU Bakersfield sweep, Stanford has now won seven straight games after dropping a midweek game against Cal, and will now host Santa Clara on Tuesday before diving into Pac-12 play against USC.
