Stanford and using the transfer portal has become somewhat of a phenomena across multiple Cardinal sports as we have seen Football, basketball, Softball, and now baseball turn to the portal to bring in some experience.

We learned on Monday that Stanford will be adding an experienced bat to the lineup for this next season as they added UC San Diego first baseman Brandon Larson. As a freshman Larson played in 46 games, starting 35 and hit .295 with nine home runs, 45 RBI, and .537 slugging percentage.

The Rocklin, California native who stands in at 6-foot-6 provides a big and experienced left-handed bat for a lineup that lost Carter Graham, Alberto Rios, Tommy Troy, and Eddie Park to the MLB Draft and are expected to lose Braden Montgomery who is in the transfer portal.
