Two-way star Braden Montgomery to transfer to Texas A&M

The Stanford star pitcher and outfielder will be suiting up for the Aggies

Stanford's baseball team suffered yet another major loss this offseason, but this one didn't come via the MLB Draft like the rest.

Instead, two-way star Braden Montgomery announced that he will be transferring to Texas A&M. In two seasons with the Cardinal, Montgomery hit .315 with 35 home runs and 118 RBI. He also racked up a career .603 slugging percentage and .414 on-base percentage. On top of being an elite switch hitter and great defender, he can also come out of the bullpen and pump some gas on the bump.

Originally from Madison, MS, Montgomery was expected to end up transferring to Mississippi State, Ole Miss, or even LSU. The decision to transfer comes after Stanford fell short for what was the third year in a row in Omaha.

This past season the Aggies finished 38-27 and actually had their season ending by Stanford in the Stanford regional.
