Stanford moves up to No. 2 in latest AP Top 25

The Stanford Cardinal finished the regular season as hot as they come, winning eight out of their last nine which included victories over No. 7 UCLA and No. 11 Oregon State.

Their final two games saw them sweep the Oregon schools, as they were able to take down No. 11 Oregon State 67-63, and blow out Oregon 76-56. In what is the final AP Poll of the regular season, Stanford saw their rankings make a leap from No. 4 all the way to No. 2 in the country behind No. 1 South Carolina.

They got some help from Iowa who knocked off previously ranked No. 2 Ohio State as well, and moved up to No.3.

The Cardinal will have some time off as they await their quarterfinal opponent in the Pac-12 tournament. They will play the winner of Cal and Washington State.

As she has been all year when healthy, Cameron Brink was dominant in the final couple games of the season for Stanford. She racked up 25 points and 23 rebounds in the win over the Beavers, and followed that up with an 18-point and 17-rebound showing in the season finale.
