Syracuse football will be without one of its starting receivers for the foreseeable future, according to head coach Dino Babers. Following the Orange's 29-16 win over Army, Babers said Isaiah Jones would be "down for a while" and did not have specifics for what that would mean. Syracuse is already without All ACC tight end Oronde Gadsden for the year.

Jones was on the Syracuse sideline and it was not indicated this would be a season long thing. However, the Orange is expected to be without him for at least the new few games. So far on the season, Jones has eight catches for 157 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 19.6 yards per reception.

The 6-4, 200 pound junior was one of Syracuse's most targeted receivers in the first two games. He only played in the first couple of possessions in the Orange's win at Purdue, leaving many to wonder if he was dealing with an injury. No clarification was provided during the week leading up to the matchup with Army, but was in the postgame press conference.

Syracuse is now 4-0 on the season after beating the Black Knights. The Orange will next host Clemson on Saturday, September 30th. That game kicks off at noon and will be broadcast nationally on ABC.
