USF Transfer Eddie Kelly Looking to Visit Syracuse

In this story:
Syracuse football is in the market for a transfer defensive lineman, and extended an offer on Thursday to one. The Orange offered South Florida Bulls transfer Eddie Kelly, a 6-4, 274 pound defensive end, has three years of eligibility remaining.
"Talked to coach Achuff," Kelly said. "He said he liked the way I play and my game style. Then he offered me. We had a great talk on the phone and I told him I'm open to anywhere.
Kelly signed with USF as part of the Bulls 2022 recruiting class. He also had offers from Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Purdue out of West Orange High in Florida.
This time around, Kelly says Central Florida, Georgia Tech, Missouri and Ole Miss are recruiting him hard. He took an official visit to Georgia Tech this week but has not scheduled any other visits yet. Kelly says he does plan to visit the Orange but has not scheduled anything yet.
This was Kelly's first time speaking with a coach from Syracuse, and he is looking forward to building a relationship with coach Achuff.
The key for the Orange is, obviously, getting him on campus. With a starting spot vacated by Jatius Geer who recently entered the portal, Syracuse can pitch the ability to compete for that job.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting. EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports. Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market.
