March Madness Predictions: More Heartbreak for Texas A&M Aggies?

As of now, the Texas A&M Aggies control their own destiny toward the NCAA Tournament.

In an SEC Conference that's currently top-heavy with some of the best teams in the country, the Texas A&M Aggies find themselves right in the mix.

With a 7-1 record in conference play and a 15-6 record overall entering Tuesday's road meeting with the Arkansas Razorbacks, the unranked Aggies have seemingly put themselves in the conversation of best team in the SEC alongside the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers and No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide.

But based on ESPN's latest Bracketology from Joe Lunardi, the Aggies could be set to find themselves on the short end of the stick for March Madness for the second straight season.

Lunardi currently has the Aggies on the predicted chopping block as one of the first four out, joining Nevada, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin. In fact, the Aggies are highlighted as being the first team out overall.

Of course, these are all just predictions. If the Aggies can keep up their current pace while having another successful run in the SEC Tournament, the selection committee will have no choice but to include them in the Big Dance.

Last season, A&M was badly hurt by its mid-season eight-game losing streak, which made the team's run to SEC title game somewhat meaningless.

But as of now, the Aggies control their own destiny, regardless of what Bracketology might say.
