The Texas A&M Aggies fought hard on Sunday, just as they've done the entire SEC Tournament. But the Crimson Tide were too much, as the Aggies' run came to a screeching halt on Sunday in Nashville, 82-63.

The Aggies trailed the entire game and were never really a threat to Alabama after the Tide opened the game on a 16-7 run, and could never get close as Alabama led by as much as 25 at one point.

The Tide lead was 34-23 at the half, and the Aggies, although matching Alabama's 3-point percentage with 33.3, couldn't recover. The Crimson Tide attempted 36 3-pointers to the Aggies' 15, but the story of the game will be A&M's failures to shoot the ball accurately.

A&M shot just 29.7 percent on 19-of-64 shooting, while Alabama enjoyed 40.9 percent on 27-of-66 shooting.

Guard Dexter Dennis let all Aggies with 14 points, and guard Wade Taylor IV and Tyrece Radford chipped in 13 and 12 respectively. Dennis also pulled down five rebounds while Forward Henry Coleman III led all Aggies players with nine rebounds.

The Crimson Tide were led by forward Brandon Miller, who had one of two Alabama double-doubles on the day with 23 points and 12 rebounds, while center Charles Bediako had the other with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Jahvon Quinerly also dropped 22 points on the Aggies' defense.

It's the second-consecutive season A&M has dropped the title game after last year's 65-50 loss to Tennessee in Tampa.

The Aggies were famously left out of the NCAA Tournament last year after the SEC Championship loss, and the fate of their 2023 hopes now lay with the selection committee.
