The 2013 Denver Broncos set the NFL record with 76 touchdowns and 606 points scored. Terry Bussey scored as many touchdowns just last season at Timpson High School in Texas.

However, now Bussey is taking his talents nearly three hours southeast to College Station, announcing his commitment to the Texas A&M Aggies Thursday. Bussey chose the Aggies over Texas, Alabama, LSU and Oklahoma.

Bussey is a five-star recruit, the No. 15 overall prospect and the top athlete in the class of 2024, trailing only wide receiver and Clemson commit Bryant Wesco for the top spot in the Lone Star State.

Class of 2024 five-star athlete Terry Bussey announced his commitment to the Texas A&M Aggies Thursday.

He is an explosive dual-threat quarterback while playing lockdown coverage in the secondary, ranging sideline to sideline to bring down would-be ball carriers and returning punts and kickoffs.

In 2021-22, Bussey completed 65.5 percent of his 328 pass attempts for 3,885 yards and 48 touchdowns, while rushing for 4,041 yards and 74 more scores. Defensively, Bussey recorded 188 tackles, three for loss, forcing two fumbles, intercepting 12 passes and returning four for touchdowns.

Bussey was primarily a defensive player his freshman season, recording 82 tackles and 12 interceptions. Last season, he returned one punt and three kickoffs for touchdowns.

He never took an official visit to Texas A&M, taking trips to Norman, Oklahoma, June 17; Austin, Texas, June 23; Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sept. 8; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sept. 22. However, Bussey was in College Station for six unofficial visits throughout his recruiting process.

247Sports' Gabe Brooks gave Bussey an NFL player comparison to former NFL wide receiver Kendall Wright.
