Texas A&M vs. Auburn game time, channel announced

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M and Auburn seemed to be a must-see event coming into the season. With both teams highly ranked, it certainly will be a game to watch around the division.

And CBS would tend to agree.

CBS Sports, home of the SEC Saturdays, announced the No.16 Aggies would be on their channel when the No.8 Tigers come to Kyle Field. The game will be a 2:30 P.M. Central time on national television on September 21.

CBS will host a doubleheader of potential top-10 matchups as No.3 Georgia will host No.7 Notre Dame at 7 P.M. at Sanford Stadium. The Bulldogs held on to win last season in South Bend, 20-19 during the 2017 season.

The Aggies (1-1) are coming off a 24-10 loss to No.1 Clemson thanks to a slow start from the offense. Running back Jashaun Corbin will miss the contest as he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury. A&M will hopefully be able to bounce back this upcoming Saturday when they face Lamar at home.

The Tigers (2-0) started their season off on the right note with a come from behind victory over then-No.11 Oregon. Freshman quarterback Bo Nix shined against the Ducks but struggled against Tulane over the weekend. Auburn will hopefully show improvement when they face Kent State at Jordan-Hare over the weekend.

Last year, the Aggies looked to run away with the contest against Auburn. Thanks to some late offensive success, the Tigers would come from behind to claim victory at home, 28-24. A&M outgained the Tigers, 423 yards to 278 and finished with 28 first downs against Auburn's 13.

The Aggies would, however, have three late turnovers, leading to Auburn capitalizing each snap. Since A&M joined the conference in 2012, the road team has won all but once in this highly anticipated game.

In nine total meetings, the Aggies have found victory five times.
