The Texas A&M Aggies are looking to rebound Saturday, as their initial nonconference slate before Southeastern Conference play is against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.
The Aggies are 36.5-point favorites against the Warhawks and the total is set at 53.5.
Louisiana-Monroe is hungry to pick up its third victory of the season, as Texas A&M looks to fend off an upset at home from a Sun Belt opponent for the second-straight year. The two will square off head to head Saturday at 3 p.m. on SEC Network.

The Aggies are the superior team. This should not be close. If it is, there are much deeper problems with this team. That said, I do not expect that. The Aggies win big.

Texas A&M needs to take care of the football and it will be fine. Quarterback Conner Weigman has shown he is one of the brightest shining stars on this Aggies team. The defense needs to hold up their end of the bargain and make clean sound tackles.

Nothing is impossible in college football, especially with Texas A&M. This again is a team that lost to Appalachian State after finishing with the highest-ranked recruiting class in NCAA history. Don’t put it past the Warhawks from keeping things close in the first quarter. After that, A&M better choose violence.

A win here for Texas A&M would get them to 3-0 on the season and start a ball of momentum rolling heading into conference play in Week 4. That is exactly what is likely to happen, as Louisiana Monroe will be outclassed coming into College Station. No, this will not be a similar outcome to last season's App State debacle.
