The Texas A&M Aggies have been looking to add to their already talented 2024 recruiting class this summer on both sides of ball.

And now, they have done just that, gaining a commitment from former Ole Miss Rebels linebacker commitment Jordan Lockhart on Thursday night.

Lockhart had decommitted from the Rebels earlier this spring after taking additional visits, with Alabama and Texas A&M immediately jumping into top position for his commitment.

Ultimately it was the Aggies that won out, however, becoming the ninth commitment of the 2024 cycle for Jimbo Fisher.

Lockhart is also the fourth defensive commit for the Aggies, as well as the second linebacker, alongside safety Jordan Pride, defensive linemab Daelyn Evans, and Tristan Jernigan.

Since committing to Ole Miss back in January of 2022, Lockhart has added offers from programs like Utah, USC, Texas A&M and Tennessee in addition to 'Bama. After opening the process on Monday, Michigan and Oklahoma jumped in with a scholarship offers, too.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker recruit helped St. John Bosco to a high school national title in 2022 with 60 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks according to MaxPreps.

The Aggies are now one of the hottest recruiting teams in the nation, and with Lockhart in tow, more could soon be on the way.
