They say momentum on the recruiting trail can carry over, and the Texas A&M Aggies are proving that to be true.

Nearly half of the Aggies' commitments in the 2024 class have come since Thursday, as three-star edge rusher Gabriel Reliford is Texas A&M's 12th pledge in the cycle, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. Reliford chose the Aggies over Southeastern Conference opponents Ole Miss and Vanderbilt because it was "the best of both worlds."

“They have great academics and they play great football," Reliford told On3. "Also a couple of other factors are the fan base and how strong it is also the town the players are well taken care of wherever they go. And last but not least the coaches there are great coaches they’re gonna push you to be the best version of yourself as well as get you to the next level."

Reliford is the No. 61 edge rusher and No. 29 player in the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports Composite.

The Shreveport, LA. native was all over the field in 2022 for Evangel Christian Academy, racking up 129 tackles, 27 for loss, six sacks and forcing three fumbles.

Texas A&M now has five commitments on the defensive side of the ball and two from linemen in the 2024 cycle, as four-star Daelyn Evans announced he was joining the Aggies on July 31, 2022.
