Aggies 2023 Spring Game: Maroon 19, White 33 - Live Game Log
The 2023 Aggies will take the field on Saturday for the annual maroon & white spring game.
It's the last chance to check out this year's edition of the Aggies before the fall, and all eyes will be on the 11 early enrollees for A&M to see who might make an early impact.
Fans will pay close attention to see what the A&M offense looks like under new offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino. Last year the offense looked horrible in the spring game, and those offensive deficiencies carried over into the regular season.
Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher announced tight end Donovan Green would miss Saturday's spring game after rolling over his ankle last weekend during the team's scrimmage. He is currently the only full participant in spring practice that's expected to be inactive.
A native of Dickinson, Green served primarily as the No. 2 tight end behind veteran Max Wright in 2022. He appeared in nine games and totaled 22 receptions for 233 yards with two TDs.
The Aggies will have only 85 yards of playable field for Saturday's scrimmage as stadium expansion work on the south endzone will not be completed until just before the beginning of the regular season in September.
This means they'll be playing toward the north end zone the entire day.

White kicks off to Maroon to start the scrimmage. All possessions will start from the 35.

FIRST QUARTER: Maroon 6, White 6
Conner Weigman begins the game at QB for Maroon.
Maroon 1st and 10 - Amari Daniels takes the toss and picks up five.
Maroon 2nd and 5 - Weigman hits Evan Stewart at midfield. A perfect pass of about 15 yards.
Maroon 1st and 10 - Fake pitch to Daniels and Weigman keeps the ball and caries for a couple. Offsides on Maroon (offense).
Maroon 2nd and 8 - Weigman with an absolutely perfect pass of about 30 yards for a perfect over-the-shoulder throw to Evan Stewart.
Maroon 1st and 10 - Weigman then hits Ainias Smith in the right flat for another 10.
Maroon 1st and 10 - Weigman rolls to his right, looks left, then throws the ball away in the end zone.
Maroon 2nd and 10 - Weigman with a keeper to the right side for about five. Weigman's pass is deflected at the line of scrimmage.
Maroon 3rd and 10 from the 12 - Weigman passes incomplete to Noah Thomas in the end zone for a 4th down. Thomas is hurt on the play.
Maroon 4th and 12 from the 12 - Randy Bond is good from 29 yards for Maroon.

White 1st and 10 from the 35 - Max Johnson in at QB for White. Johnson rolls to the right gets to the 42.
White 2nd and 3 from the 42 - An inside handoff to the 48 for a first down.
