Cross Country Teams Place 1st and 3rd Overall at Gerald Richey UTA Invitational

Cross Country Teams Continue Early-Season Success at UTA Invitational

Men and Women’s Cross-Country competed this past weekend here in Arlington, TX with both teams having athletes that placed high in both individual and team standings.

Graydon Morris finished 1st among the TCU men’s team and 2nd overall with a time of 15:05.80 making it two straight weeks with a Top-5 finish. The Horned Frogs dominated the Top-5 in general with Noah Winters placing 3rd overall with a time of 15:11.20, and Stone Burke placing 5th overall with a time of 15:16.0.

Grant Martinez placed 11th overall with a time of 15:31.3 and CJ Meyer was the final scoring Frog with his 15th-place finish with a time of 15:40.3.

On the women’s side, Tabitha Kalunde Ngao won her second race in only her second collegiate event with a time of 17:19.9. London Culbreath finished 10th overall with a time of 17:56.4. Outside of the Top 10, Gabby Martin, Peyton McQuillan, and Mariana Martinez finished 14th, 15th, and 16th with times of 18:30.4, 18:39.1, and 18:51.8.

With a score of 29 points, the men’s cross-country team earned their first team win of the season and with a score of 58 points, the women’s team placed 3rd overall.

This coming weekend, both teams will compete at the Texas A&M Invitational starting Friday, September 15th, in College Station, TX.
