Tabitha Kalunde Ngao Named Big 12 Women's Runner of the Week

Ngao’s Dominance Earns Her Big 12 Runner of the Week

With two consecutive 1st place finishes, Tabitha Kalunde Ngao earned 1st honors as a collegiate athlete in only two weeks, being named the Big 12 Cross Country Women's Runner of the Week. Ngao finished this past weekend at the Geral Richey UTA Invitational with a time of 17:19.9, beating the 2nd place finisher by two seconds.

Ngao's two wins have propelled the women's cross country team to a 2nd and 3rd place finish in their first two events. Ngao is also the first TCU runner to earn Big 12 Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors since Mariah Castillo on September 17,  2019.

Ngao will look to continue her early-season and early-collegiate career at the Texas A&M Invitational at 8:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, in College Station, Texas.
